Biotector 970 - On-Line TOC Analyser

The Biotector 970 is a single enclosure unit with built in microcontroller and membrane keypad. As an additional feature, the Biotector 970 can sequentially analyse samples from up to 6 different streams.

Sampling:
A representative unfiltered sample from the stream to be analysed is pumped into the analyser. The sample injection valve automtically selects the appropriate sample volume for the optimum measuring range.
TIC Detection:
Acid is added to lower the pH so that inorganic carbon may be sparged off as carbon dioxide. As the Biotector 970 actually measures the level of TIC in the sample, it will not allow TIC to carry over into the TOC measurements.
Oxidation:
The ozone genrator is switched on to generate ozone used in the reaction. Sodium hydroxide is added ot raise the pH of the sampel to the point where the production of hydroxil radicals is optimised. In these conditions, total and effective oxidation takes place.
TOC Calulation:
To remove the carbon dioxide from the oxidised sample, the pH of the sample is lowered again. The carbon dioxide is sparged and measured by the IR-detector. The result is calculated and presented on screen and as a 4-20mA output. All data is stored in the system's archive

Biotector 990 - On-Line TOC Analyser

Designed to withstand corrosive environments, the Biotector 990 is housed in a FRP enclosure with dual compartments to keep all electronic components seperate from the "wet" or analysis components. The Biotector 990 has a built-in microcontroller and is operated through a membrane keypad.

Sampling:
A representative unfiltered sample from the stream to be analysed is pumped into the analyser. The sample injection valve automtically selects the appropriate sample volume for the optimum measuring range.

Biotector Vaacuum Sampler - Water Sampling System for Analysers

The Biotector vacuum sampler system is designed to bring water over a distance of 40 metres with a maximum lift of 6 metres, and to present the sample to the Biotector TOC analsyer or alternative water analyser at ambient pressure.

1. The vacuum sampler pump generates a vacuum in the sample container whcih draws the sample up into the sample container.
2. A built-in conductivity probe confirms that the sample has filled the container. The vacuum pump is stopped, a pinch valve closes to seal the sample in the containerand vacuum valves open to restore the pressure in the sample container to ambient. If the sample does not make contact with the probe within a pre-set time, a fault condition is triggered.
3. The analyser takes it s sample from the container. If necessary, a short sedimentation period ( to allow sand and hard particles ot settle) may be programmed before the analyser takes it sample.}
4. When the sample has been take, the pinch valve opens. The vacuum pump, through a series of valves, generates pressure in the smaple container which forces the sampel from the container back through the sample line .
5. the cycle then repeats.
