Wireless Gateways

Texmate NZ 2.4GHz wireless gateways enable broad-based deployment of wireless mesh networks. They offer low cost, low power solutions for data collection, system monitoring and equipment control.

WG's are versatile and flexible. They employ the Modbus/RTU protocol, simplifying setup and integration with PLC’s. A range of communication methods and network topologies are available to suit a wide variety of applications, including:

  • Smart energy/smart grid
  • AMR (automatic meter readings)
  • Lighting controls
  • Building automation systems
  • Tank monitoring
  • HVAC control
  • Medical devices and labs

Texmate NZ wireless gateways are ideal for wireless networking across large areas, because they use mesh networking to connect to each other via multiple pathways. Connections between nodes are dynamically updated and optimised through sophisticated mesh routing tables.

WG-PTH - Wireless Pathfinder

This 2.4GHz wireless pathfinder is the ideal starting point for setting up a large Modbus-to-wireless mesh network. This unit offers low cost, low power solutions for data collection, system monitoring and equipment control.

  • Dual function base/remote
  • Ideal for hassle-free setup of large Modbus-to-wireless mesh networks
  • Configured as a Modbus slave device for simple integration with PLCs
  • Connect up to 64 remote nodes and 32 sleeper nodes in a single network
  • Optional I/O: 2 x relays, 4 x digital input, 2 x digital output

  • WG-PTH-ZS2 - 2 x serial ports (RS232, RS484/422)
  • WG-PTH-ZE - 1 x serial port (ethernet modbus/RTU)
  • WG-PTH-ZS2-IO - 2 x serial ports (RS232, RS484/422), 2 x relays, 4 x digital input, 2 x digital output
  • WG-PTH-ZE-IO - 1 x serial port (ethernet modbus/RTU), 2 x relays, 4 x digital input, 2 x digital output

WG-SLB - Wireless Sleeper (Battery Powered)

This battery powered wireless sleeper sends data to the base node at user-configured intervals, and conserves battery life by ‘sleeping’ between transmissions. The WG-SLB is a standalone device that integrates seamlessly with existing WG mesh networks, enabling additional network topologies and functions.

  • Able to be powered by long-life lithium batteries
  • Sends data to the base node at user configured intervals
  • Dual analogue input channels (USB programmable)
  • Seamless integration with Texmate NZ WG mesh networks
  • Connect up to 32 sleeper nodes (including WG-SLR) in a single network

WG-SLR - Wireless Sleeper (Routing)

This routing wireless sleeper is a standalone device that sends data to the base node at user-configured intervals. Unlike the battery powered sleeper, this unit is constantly ‘online’, so it is able to provide routes for other remote nodes and sleepers. The WG-RTR integrates seamlessly with existing WG mesh networks, enabling additional network topologies and functions.

  • Able to provide routes for other remote nodes and sleepers
  • Sends data to the base node at user configured intervals
  • Dual analogue input channels (USB programmable)
  • Seamless integration with Texmate NZ WG mesh networks
  • Connect up to 32 sleeper nodes (including WG-SLB) in a single network
